Hello Backer,

Just wanted to thank all you new Backers who follow Mr. Jon Heder and thought his night out with Lady Blood and Lucious was well worth his time.

Also once again, I want to to thank the brilliant group over at Certifiable Studios for the love they offered us yesterday. It was our 2nd best backer day since we began the campaign. Half of me wants to move to Mississippi and grow some long Jesse Chops.

So, did I mention that we dropped the pledge from $500 to $300 to have your own card and token made for your own deck? Yup. Thats right. Everything has a price and Parker, out of the goodness of his heart is going to do that for you. It’s not too late to modify your pledge and have this great gift to offer yourself or a loved one. DO IT! It’s fun! You can even come up with your own Scheme from a list of Schemes we can offer you.

Speaking of Schemes I was able to update the Schemes for Van Molder and Stella on the Rule page on the website. I think they should work. There is a twist, Van Molder will only be able to use his magic after, at least, half of the players have used their Scheme. Then his powers that he has kept hidden become unleashed. I dunno, I gotta a little over a week to test this with friends and family before the rule book is sent to Panda. But we shall see. That's how you make a game: dream it, test it, print it. Parker is frantically adding the final touches to Stella and prepping the first draft for Van Molder!

Note on Manufacturing: Unlike a lot of games, this one is 90% done so we plan to go to manufacturing right away! We haven't gotten the final quote yet, but it looks like we will be going with Panda Games(you trust them right?). Our rep Joe over there has been a huge help and they know their stuff. If everything goes right, and no major hurricanes or typhoons hit the North Pacific to halt shipping, your game should get there in Decemberish.

Unlocked New Backer Achievement & WHO GOES THERE?

Hello Backers,

With this card game we hope to give you pleasure. The same pleasure you get when you wake up from a fiendish nightmare. And it is with great pleasure to welcome our 500th backer late last night. Well done.

And yes, we unlocked yet another one of those Backer Rewards. Something about a sleeve for innocent residences of the Mansion to hide during gameplay? 

Congratulations to our faithful Backers. With a little effort, the next Backer Reward (Print and Play MABM) should be easy to reach. 

And I must not forget to mention that there is another Kickstarter campaign coincidently running at the same time as ours from our brilliant friends at Certifiable Studios. Last year they launched a smash hit campaign, Endangered Orphans of Condyle Cove which is a fantastically enjoyable card game about orphans getting eaten by the Boogey man. Their present campaign, WHO GOES THERE?, is based after the same book that inspired the movie THE THING! I have visited their Kickstarter page and thought this is something definitely worth backing. It not only looks fun, but look at their art! Outstanding to say the least. So, in addition to backing our card game, please check theirs out too, and find it in your heart to back them...as well as ours. These chaps are fantastic. (Did we just lose any of our own Backers to Certifiable? Oh well)

This week is going to go quickly and there are a few surprises we have in store, so please be patient with our ramping up the updates until our “thing” concludes on the 8th.

Stretch Goal Unleashed - VAN MOLDER The WARLOCK

Hello Backers!

Watching a murder take place in a card game can help work off antagonisms, and if you haven't any antagonisms, then your fellow players counting the cards in the discard pile might give you some. Speaking of counting, we still have a little over 11 days left in this touchy, feel-good campaign, and we have officially invited another resident into the mansion. A noxious little Warlock we are calling Van Molder. Believe me, he’s no threat. His bark is worse than his bite. But I’m sure some of you will love playing his Scheme, “Steal Your Soul”. Sounds rather creepy, when it works correctly. As far as what he’ll look like, we’ll have you settle that amongst yourselves when he’s unveiled next week. Either way, congratulations, I suppose. More work for us, and more fun for you. Tisk, Tisk. 

Speaking of residence of the mansion here is Stella, the wandering fortune teller for you backers only. Parker has done a marvelous job bringing her to life even though there are still a few adjustments to be had. This brings the total count to our happy little manor here to 8 possible suspects and victims for the time being. 

Also, remember that failed attempt at a live Facebook gameplay last week? Our plans are back on on for tomorrow night. Tune into our Facebook page around 8-9pm California time on Saturday and we'll be delighted if we see you join us.

Now, help us bring in more backers so we can get to those wooden tokens. The sooner the better.

“A murder mystery game, I always say, should be like a good suspense movie: The more left to the imagination, the more excitement there is. And we should all be very lucky we have Murder at Blood Mansion to do just that. Also, please take note that we went ahead and made it a little easier for anyone to obtain the top reward tier. Apparently some of you are a little nervous about becoming the 7th Suspect of the game. Parker can not not wait to use his artful skills and design a Suspect card after your own charming likeness. We’ll here we are, today, with 16 days in and 16 days left which marks this as the official halfway point of this awesome campaign. We love all the comments, feedback and suggestions that so many of you have given us.

We have more things in store for you these next few days like Parker unveiling Stella the Gypsy backers only card to you all. Then there’s Skarabus the Warlock stretch goal Suspect card at $17.5K and still yet another backer achievement.
